Two people are arrested on felony burglary charges after suspected wine thefts.

Boise Police say officers took a report of a grand theft at a retail store on the 1200 block of S. Broadway Avenue on September 3. Investigators found evidence that indicated a man and woman, identified as 50-year-old Todd Hamilton and 31-year-old Haley Moeri of Meridian, had stolen nine bottles of wine valued at over $4,400 from the store. Police say they left the area in an RV.

Detectives realized the pair were also being investigated by the Meridian Police Department for reported shoplifting at two other retail stores in that area. In total, police say the pair were suspected of stealing 18 bottles of wine worth over $10,000.

An off duty City of Boise Employee recognized the RV possibly connected to the thefts on Monday and was able to record a license plate. Detectives made contact with the Meridian pair and booked them into the Ada County Jail on felony burglary charges.

Further burglary charges for the crimes committed in Meridian are pending.
