MERIDIAN, Idaho — Meridian Police responded to a call at 5:15 Friday morning about a prowler on the 4000 block of S. Bradcliff Ave. When officers arrived, they spoke with the homeowner and reviewed video footage from their security system.

The footage showed someone attempting to enter the garage through the man-door. The person was male dressed in all black, wearing a backpack, purple latex gloves and a N95 face mask. A flood light turned on and the man ran away. Nothing was stolen and no damage was found.

While officers were canvassing the area, they found a computer and a piece of purple latex glove on the front lawn of a home on the 4000 block of S. Marsala Ave. Officers contacted the homeowner and upon investigation it appears the suspect entered the home through an unlocked garage door and took the computer from inside. There was no damage located.

The Meridian Police Departments reminds people to lock their doors, windows and fence gates, especially at night. Make it a routine to check doors and windows to make sure they are locked before going to bed.
