Two time Olympic medalist and former figure skater Michelle Kwan stopped in Boise Thursday to campaign for Hillary Clinton.

Kwan currently works as the surrogate outreach coordinator for Clinton's campaign.

She says she always strives to represent the United States, so when her skating career came to an end ten years ago, she went back to school to study political science and international affairs.

"I got a job at the Department of State as an advisor and worked under the leadership of Secretary Clinton and saw first hand her vision and her leadership," Kwan said. "So when the opportunity came about to join the campaign I said, 'where do I begin? How can I help?"

The free event in the Boise State University student union building was open to the public.

Kwan urged supporters to commit to participating in Tuesday's Idaho democratic caucus.
