Students at Middleton High School are giving back for the holiday season.
The school hosted its annual Wish assembly Thursday morning, but this time with a virtual twist in light of the pandemic. This year's wish granting was also opened up to Middleton High School staff and students and staff at Middleton Academy.
Organizers said it's all about getting everyone in this Christmas spirit in a year that's been tough.
"Especially with 2020 and just covid and the election, everything that's been going on, it gives everyone a break from that and just brings the community together," said Malachi Meyer, MHS student council.
Past wishes that have been granted by the student council include small things like candy scholarships and as large as buying a family's Christmas presents, reconnecting friends from other states and even a puppy.
