BOISE — Fort Boise Community Center is adding more STEM workshops to their winter activities.
The new classes walk kids through the basics of coding, sequencing, and multimedia. The new Code On course, for kids 8-12 years old, comes with material from Code.org.
Coach Newton from Pan-ucation is teaching two of the new classes. One of the classes is specially designed for grandparents and grand-kids; to engage all age groups with a stem foundation.
“Grandparents are typically looking for any fun activity to do with their grand-kids, and the grand-kids are already into the coding and online puzzle-solving, so it's wonderful to see the light bulb shining over both of their heads," said Newton.
Idaho Robotics teaches additional STEM classes offered. Registration is already open for Idaho residents and opens up December 11 for non-residents.
