BOISE, Idaho — A Boise man is in the Ada County Jail after being arrested in Boise Monday on a felony warrant for sexual battery of a minor. Erick Javier Miramontes Anaya, 24, was taken into custody around 7 a.m. Monday without incident.

The warrant was issued by Ada County Prosecutors after an investigation that began on June 30, 2019. Mountain Home Police were investigating a missing teenager that resulted in an AMBER Alert on that day.

Ada County dispatch received information about the AMBER Alert and sent Boise Police officers to check on a subject on the 1200 block of S. Michigan Avenue in Boise. Police made contact and identified the subject as Miramontes Anaya. Police also found the subject of the AMBER Alert inside the residence.

Officers made sure the teenager was safe and began an investigation. The investigation was then routed to the Ada County Prosecutors for review of charges.

Miramontes Anaya has been charged with sexual battery of a child 16 or 17 years of age.
