CALDWELL, Idaho — Canyon County officials are urging residents to keep a close eye on children and pets after a mountain lion was spotted in Caldwell.
The Canyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report on the 17000 block of Friends Rd. in Caldwell Sunday morning around 8:00 a.m.
Pictures of the animal confirmed it to be a mountain lion and the Idaho State Department of Fish and Game was notified.
At this time, there have been no additional sightings. The public is urged not to leave children and pets unattended.
