The NAIA, the collegiate athletic association with which the College of Idaho is affiliated, announced on Friday a move to reschedule the football national championship to the spring of 2021.
NAIA's Council of Presidents made the decision, voting earlier in the week to postpone all other fall sport championships until the spring as well.
Professional, collegiate and amateur leagues are making determinations about fall athletics as confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus and its related disorder Covid-19 continue to rise. Many leagues, such as the NAIA, are choosing to delay fall athletics to avoid possible spread of the disease and to keep student athletes safe.
