Nampa Fire Chief Karl Malott has been charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence.
Charges were filed against Malott on Nov. 11 in Payette County.
Malott was seriously injured on Sept. 24 when he crashed his motorcycle into the back of a car heading eastbound on I-84 west of Caldwell.
Mallot was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and was hospitalized for several weeks.
