Nampa High School was on lockdown for about fifteen minutes Thursday morning, following reports of a student with a gun.
“It ended up to be a realistic-looking pellet gun,” said Nampa School District spokeswoman Allison Westfall.
The student reportedly had the pellet gun in a backpack while on one of the school buses. “He was not waiving it around,” Westfall stressed.
Two students – a 15-year-old and a 17-year-old – were later interviewed by police.
“Classroom doors were kept locked and students were not allowed to leave their rooms,” Westfall said, until officers were able to assess the situation.
No citations have been issued yet.
