Nampa man arrested on charges of domestic violence

NAMPA, Idaho — A 32-year old man was arrested on charges of domestic violence on June 4. James W. Furrer of Nampa was charged with four different felony charges.

The incident took place at a residence on Zion Park drive at approximately 1 a.m. Police say that the victim reported that Furrer had threatened her with a gun during the incident.

Officers tried to make contact with Furrer, but he would not communicate with them. Due to the severity of the incident and Furrer not communicating with the officers, the Nampa Police Tactical Response Team was brought in.

Police say after repeated attempts to contact Furrer, he eventually exited the residence and was taken into custody. Detectives also responded to the incident to help with the investigation.

Fuller was charged with domestic battery, attempted strangulation, aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
