NAMPA, ID – Nampa Police are investigating a homicide at a restaurant early Sunday morning.
At 1:48 a.m. on July 3, 2016, Nampa Police officers responded to a stabbing at a restaurant located in the 2500 block of Caldwell Blvd. The stabbing occurred during a fight between an employee and a former employee. The incident occurred in the work area of the restaurant.
The victim, a 28-year-old man, of Nampa, had a severe stab wound to his abdomen and was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The other man, also 28-year-old, of Nampa had lacerations on his hands. He left the restaurant before police arrived on scene.
Police later located him in the 16000 block of Blue Spruce in the Evergreen trailer park. He was taken to a local hospital and treated and released for his injuries.
No arrests have been made at this time as police continue to investigate the circumstances of this incident.
“This fight appears to be over a personal issue between these two parties,” Lt. Eric Skoglund said. “Investigators who responded are continuing to search for evidence and information which led to this violent encounter,” said Skoglund.
