Nampa Police investigating shooting believed to be connected to gang activity

Nampa Police are investigating a shooting believed to be connected to a string of incidents between rival gangs.

Police responded to a shooting around 1:41 a.m. Sunday at a residence in the 600 block of 16th Ave. N. after several shots were fired at the house. No one was injured in the shooting, officials said.

A juvenile male from Nampa was arrested after officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 100 block of Ethel, according to Nampa Police. The man is in Canyon County Juvenile Detention Center on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
