Suspect arrested after standoff

A man that fled a traffic stop and barricaded himself inside of a Nampa home has been arrested.

According to police, an officer attempted a traffic stop on a Dodge Neon around 10:51 AM on Caldwell Boulevard near Moss Lane when the driver took off and eventually reached Hawkins Avenue.

The man ran inside of a home. It is unclear whether he lived at the home or not, however, residents at the home were taken to the police station for questioning.

At 2:15 pm, the suspect was seen being walked away from the home in handcuffs.

According to the Nampa Police Department, the suspect has been identified as Eric J. Olmeda, 22, of Caldwell, Idaho.

Olmeda has been charged with felony probation violation, misdemeanor eluding, second offense driving without privileges, obstruct and delay, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

An individual taken to the police department for questioning has been identified as Alberto M. Munoz and was arrested for a failure to appear warrant.

A 36-year-old Ontario, Oregon, resident identified as Isela F. Garza was also arrested for a felony failure to appear warrant.
