The Ada County DMV is now open at 8655 W. Franklin Rd for your vehicle title and registration needs.
Ada County Assessor Bob McQuade says the new space could cut down on the dreaded DMV wait times and should free-up parking spots at both the Franklin and Benjamin DMV locations.
"It will minimize the confusion; there won't be nearly as many people [at the Benjamin location]," McQuade said. "Also, we really expect it to reduce our wait times. Our wait times have increased over the last year or so, to the point we really just felt we had to do something about it."
Drivers licenses, permits and I.D. cards will still be issued through the current location at 400 N. Benjamin Ln.
