KUNA, Idaho — Officials are hoping to break ground soon on a new 17-acre community park in Kuna.
Named after the mother of Jim Zamzow, the owner of "Zamzows", the park will be called Helen Zamzow Park and will be the largest park in the city.
"We had the option of selling the property for development, which really broke our hearts because we love that piece of ground," Jim Zamzow said, "So we think it's more suitable as a park. We think it can be very helpful to the people of the Kuna area, and it's a good way to honor mom."
The park will be built on property the company already owns and will eventually feature sports fields, tennis courts, a horseshoe pit and possibly picnic areas.
It will likely be developed in phases over the next few years but officials have not said when they'll break ground.
