The Idaho Transportation Department is finishing installing a new traffic signal at the busy west Boise intersection of Eagle and Franklin Roads.

So on Sunday night, October 30, flaggers will direct traffic at the intersection between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m., ITD officials say.

The new signal will be in operation on Monday morning, October 31, they stated.

ITD replaced the signal to accommodate the third northbound lane and a right-turn lane at the intersection. The new third northbound lane and right-turn lane will not be open until late-November.

All lanes will remain open during the day on Eagle Road, ITD said. Nighttime lane restrictions will continue as crews widen northbound Eagle Road to three lanes between Franklin Road and Fairview Avenue.

The work is weather-dependent.

ITD urges drivers using the intersection to slow down, pay attention in the construction zone, and be aware of construction workers.
