An Ontario, Oregon man was killed early Thursday morning after he was hit by a semi truck on I-84 in Boise.
Idaho State Police tell us Matthew Martin lost control of his car and hit the guard rail on the interstate near Broadway. His car ultimately stopped in the center lane of the interstate. He got out of the car and was standing next to it when police say he was hit by the semi, in the lane of travel.
Martin was taken to the hospital where he later died.
Traffic was blocked in the area for almost six hours while crews investigated.
