BOISE, Idaho — This month, 6 On Your Side was proud to represent the Scripps Howard Foundation for "If You Give a Child a Book..."
Our employees raised money for the literacy campaign, joining Scripps stations across the country to give away more than 172,000 books to children in need. In our area, 6 On Your Side employees gave away books to students at Ustick Elementary School through a Scholastic Book Fair.
Every book generates about 180 minutes of reading for a child meaning the books given away on January 23 will generate nearly 31 million reading minutes.
