The 4th of July weekend is huge for camping, but it's also a great opportunity to hit the water for some fishing.
Idaho Fish and Game says reservoir levels are lower right now because of irrigation, and rivers and streams are great options.
If you're heading out with your fishing pole, there are a few things you should know before you go.
"Know where you're fishing, know if there's special regulations," Terry Thompson, Communications Director with Idaho Fish and Game Magic Valley Region, said. "Have your license with you, but mainly go out and have fun. Fishing is a great way to spend a weekend."
