The Idaho House has killed legislation that would create a "pet friendly" license plate.

The bill's intent was to use funds collected from sales of the plate in a program to assist low-income families with the cost of spaying or neutering pets.

No debate was given against the bill on the House floor.

The bill failed on a 31-31 vote Monday.
