A statewide seat belt campaign is kicking off this week.
Police, deputies, and troopers will be on the lookout for drivers who are not wearing seat belts.
The "Click It - Don't Risk It" campaign runs through June 4th. Don't expect to drive off with just a warning.
Bill Kotowski of the Idaho Transportation Department had a message for anybody hitting the road this weekend.
"They see first-hand the results of people who don't wear their seatbelts. Seatbelts, It's just something very simple that everyone can do. And, it's something that increases your chances of surviving a crash.", said Bill
It's also a good time to make sure that your child's car seat is properly secured in place.
