Snow flurries have caused so far about twenty vehicle accidents on Interstate 84 between Caldwell and Meridian, according to an Idaho State Police dispatcher.

“We are really slammed right now,” said the dispatcher.

A Canyon County dispatcher echoed that. “We have accidents everywhere -- but the Interstate is the worst. The Interstate is kind of a mess right now.”

There are no major injuries reported. Most of the accidents are slide-offs, likely caused by drivers driving too fast for the snowy conditions.

“We have accidents pretty much every mile on the Interstate,” the Canyon County dispatcher said.

Morning commuters are urged to use extreme caution, and allow for plenty of stopping distance.

“Ada County is doing pretty good,” said an Ada County dispatcher “We have only several accidents on the Interstate and those are pretty much being cleared up.”
