BOISE, Idaho — About 2 a.m. Friday, Boise Police were dispatched to a single vehicle crash that had just occurred on Amity Road near Holcomb Road, in southeast Boise.
The vehicle had crashed into a power pole and, when officers and paramedics arrived, the driver was found dead at the scene, according to a Boise Police news release.
No information on the driver was immediately available.
Boise Police officers closed Amity Road between S. Trails End Lane and Holcomb Road in order to conduct their investigation.
A crash reconstruction team and detectives from the Boise Police Department responded to the scene, along with the Ada County Coroner.
Their investigation remains ongoing -- and the identity of the driver will be released by the Ada County Coroner pending notification of family, according to the release.
The road was reopened around 8 a.m.
