Boise Police: Suspect in Friday's Boise shooting being charged with murder

BOISE — UPDATE: According to the Boise Police Department, the suspect in Friday's shooting on Fry Street in West Boise is being charged with Murder.

BPD identified the suspect as Carlos Sandoval.

The victims of the shooting were a male and female adult. The male victim passed away and the female victim has been treated and released from the hospital.

The Ada County Coroner will release the male victim’s identity pending notification of next of kin.

UPDATE: Police took a suspect into custody around 8:00 p.m.

Boise Police say there are two victims in the shooting and they were taken to the hospital this afternoon. As of now there is no word on their condition.

BPD says Fry Street is now safe, but the investigation is ongoing.

Boise Police and Ada County paramedics are on the scene of a shooting in west Boise.

It happened in the 1700 block of Fry Street ... near the intersection of Curtis Road and Fairview Avenue, according to an Ada County dispatch supervisor.

The call came in about 4:11 p.m.

Boise Police are asking people to avoid the area if possible, since the scene is still active.

Police are searching for a possible suspect in the shooting, a Hispanic male in his early 20's. Police believe they have narrowed the search down to a residence near Fry st. No motive is known as of right now, and no word on injuries for the shooting, although police say there are two victims.

The original call said there were 7 to 8 shots fired.
