BURLEY, Idaho — Authorities in Cassia Country are searching for a bank robbery suspect who they say sprayed an unknown substance inside the bank as he was leaving.

About 11:20 a.m. Monday, and a man entered the South Overland branch of the D.L. Evans Bank in Burley and demanded money from a teller.

After getting the money, “the suspect sprayed an unknown substance inside, possibly to prevent anyone from following him,” Cassia County Sheriff Jay Heward stated in a news release.

He then ran from the bank, heading east.

A security camera captured a good image of the robber. He’s described as a Caucasian man, about 40 to 50 years old, wearing a dark-colored jacket, grey sweat pants, a red-and-white stocking cap, and tennis shoes.

If you’ve seen this man or have any information about the robbery, you are urged to contact the Cassia County Sheriff’s Office at 208-878-2251 ext. #1.
