BOISE — In-person voting for future elections must remain an option for Idaho voters regardless of the coronavirus pandemic.

Gov. Brad Little signed House Bill 1 Tuesday afternoon, according to his press secretary. The bill ensures in-person voting will be an option regardless of state of emergency, extreme emergency or a disaster emergency.

In May, Idaho held an absentee-only May primary, an election that saw record-high voter turnout.
