Ada County Elections officials are reminding everyone to double-check their polling locations after Idaho News 6 discovered a printing error on voter identification cards.
Officials say the cards were mailed out to 2,462 Ada County voters.
A representative with the elections office says the printing company that is responsible for the cards accidentally used the wrong file to print polling locations in the last run.
Officials say the error impacts 17 precincts and estimates it will affect less than 1,300 people who have not yet voted.
Officials say it is too late to fix the cards but plan to have representatives at each of the impacted polling locations to send voters to the correct location.
“We apologize to everyone impacted by this error and for any inconvenience that may result. We really regret that this happened. We want to ensure everyone has the opportunity to vote and are taking steps to help ensure that these voters are able to get to the proper location and vote in this important election,” said Phil McGrane, Ada County Clerk.
