BOISE, Idaho — Kindness is trending in Boise and local companies are paying it forward. Last week, the president of St. Alphonsus delivered breakfast burritos to staff at St. Luke's, inspiring the St. Luke's president to deliver healthy snacks to the Idaho Foodbank.
This week, the CEO of the Idaho Foodbank, Karen Vauk, paid it forward with a "random act of fiesta" for the Idaho Community Foundation as part of Cinco de Mayo.
"The Idaho Community Foundation does such important work year round, and we saw during these unusual times that they stepped up and provided leadership to form a COVID-19 response and recovery fund, which over the last four weeks granted over a million dollars to nonprofits around the state," said Vauk.
Vauk chose the Idaho Community Foundation because of their tireless efforts spearheading to COVID-19 response and recovery fund for Idaho.
