BOISE, Idaho — The Idaho Humane Society (IHS) dispatched humane officers to a home near Barber Park Thursday after a large rattlesnake was hanging out on the front porch. The snake, nicknamed Hank, was safely removed from the porch by Humane Officer Heidi Freutel and training officers Wood and Williams.
IHS said in a Facebook post that Animal Care and Control will respond to rattlesnake calls if there is an immediate danger present, like if the snake is in the backyard, front porch or at a park.
