It's the season of giving. So why not make time to give blood. Concerns over blood supply shortages are growing here in Idaho. Red Cross officials are reminding folks that just one hour of your time could save lives. They say blood donations tend to fall during the busy holiday season.
"And so many people are so willing to do so much to help people in time of need this year, and yet at the same time, it's one of the most difficult times of year to collect blood, and to keep the blood supply vital and available for those people who may suffer medical emergencies during the holidays, so if they have the time, I really would ask and encourage people to set up an appointment, go down and donate blood, said Christopher Davis, with the American Red Cross.
