BOISE, Idaho — Protesters took the streets across the nation Wednesday to protest the acquittal of President Trump in a movement called 'Reject the Cover Up.'
In Boise, a small group formed at the corner of Capital and Front streets with signs like "nobody is against the law" and "true patriots put country over party." Organizers of the event say they are disappointed in the impeachment trial outcome and want to see changes come November.
"This is not normal. This is not okay. If you agree with that sentiment you need to voice your concerns to your fellow citizens, neighbors, co-workers and you need to get out in November and vote for somebody who will hold those same ideals," said Tracy Martin.
President Trump is expected to make an official statement about the impeachment trial Thursday. Idaho's presidential primary elections kick off on March 10, one week after Super Tuesday.
