BOISE, Idaho — Roaring Springs is set to start construction on a new $1 million water ride as soon as the waterpark closes for the season. The new ride will be complete by opening day on May 9, 2020.

The Double Flying Saucer is an award-winning waterslide that launches riders into a double corkscrew. It then sends them dropping and driving into two flying saucers with G forces. This ride is the first of its kind in the northwest. Check out a full video of the ride here.

You can enter the Name the Ride contest for a chance to win four season passes and be the first to ride. Enter you best ideas here by September 15. Season Pass holders can ride the new slide as many times as they want next summer. 2019/2020 Season Passes are on sale now on the Roaring Springs website.

The Double Flying Saucer is made by Proslide Technology in Ottawa, Canada. The ride will be built by The Russell Corporation in Boise. There are about 200 installations of the ride around the world.
