NAMPA, Idaho — Saint Alphonsus Health System has opened a second COVID-19 respiratory assessment site at its Garrity Campus Clinic at 1150 N. Sister Catherine Way in Nampa. The site is open daily from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

The outdoor locations offer assessments for COVID-19 and testing for those who are high risk, while protecting other urgent care and primary care patients from possible exposure to the virus. Previously, Saint Alphonsus opened its first site at the Meridian Health Plaza at 3025 West Cherry Lane.

Patients who feel they meet the CDC testing criteria (fever, a new cough or shortness of breath, travel to an area where there has been community spread of the virus, or close contact with an infected person) can seek testing.

If the patient arrives at a screening location but does not meet the criteria for testing, they will be provided education on virus prevention and risk factors. If patients are low risk for complications and are having mild symptoms, the safest place for them to be is at home.

If a patient has questions about the coronavirus, they can call the Saint Alphonsus COVID-19 non-urgent Triage Hotline at (208) 302-2683. Nurses will provide answers to questions about symptoms, screening locations, risk factors, prevention and more. The hotline will be answered seven days a week from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm.

Additionally, patients may also seek care for mild conditions including cold, flu, and other non-emergent conditions using MyeVisit online urgent care – a service staffed by Saint Alphonsus healthcare providers. From the comfort of home, patients can initiate a virtual visit using their smartphone or tablet. To learn more, visit the Saint Alphonsus website.
