IDAHO — Both Saint Alphonsus and St. Luke's are now including vaccine information in the COVID-19 dashboards.
The additional vaccine tab will include information on supply, administration, efficiency and occassionally include rolling averages and trend lines, according to the health systems. The data will be updated once a week and represent one point in time. The information will be specific to the health system providing it and will not have information from other healthcare systems.
Officials at both St. Luke's and Saint Als are encouraging eligible patients to only make one vaccine appointment and keep that appointment to not take away time and resources from others. Both health systems report experiencing no-show vaccination appointments, which drastically impacts how the vaccines are managed.
"It’s extremely challenging to have the message of, 'please be patient and you know we’re ready to serve you when supply in your priority group is appropriate,' but I know that it’s a difficult message for us to say internally door facilities with our vaccine teams and so difficult message to hear," said Katie Quinn, safety officer with Saint Alphonsus Health System.
