A historic moment for the Scout Fair, giving both boys and girls the opportunity to learn how to join the scouts.
All kinds of scout skills and traditions were on display at the fair hosted by the Boy Scouts of America Ore-Ida Council, including a race track. Michael Jensen, the Director of Field Service, says the scouts are all about teaching everyone the skills they need to succeed.
"It's a neat opportunity where a family can now come together and be able to experience a program that's teaching both their young men and their daughters leadership and character," Jensen said.
Girls will be welcomed into cub scouts this fall.
