UPDATE (10/3): Baker County Search and Rescue members are continuing to search thea where Andrew Dean Dennis went missing. Helicopters from the National Guard and Baker Aircraft are assisting in the search.
On Tuesday, October 1, Union County Search and Rescue members and Oregon State Police personnel joined the search.
ORIGINAL STORY: A search and rescue mission is underway for a missing hunter.
The Baker County Sheriff's Office says ground searchers have been flown in by helicopter and are now searching the Crater Lake Area in Baker County. Search and Rescue crews began searching for 60-year-old Andy Dennis after he failed to return from a hunting trip.
Officials say the terrain is rugged and steep, and ask untrained searchers to avoid the area.
