A flock of mama sheep crossed State Highway 55 near Beacon Light Road in Eagle at 10:00 a.m. this morning. Nearly 1,600 ewes crossed the highway, halting traffic and drawing in spectators.
The sheep will be grazing their way back to the home ranch in Wilder, Idaho, and will make the return journey next Spring.
