Second case of coronavirus confirmed in Idaho

BLAINE COUNTY, Idaho — South Central Public Health District and the Idaho Department of Health and Welfare have confirmed a second case of novel coronavirus in Blaine County.

The person is said to be a female over 50, who is "doing well and recovering from mild symptoms," according to the South Central Public Health District in their press conference.

She is reported to have gone into self-isolation in her home in Blaine County. She did not require hospitalization.

An investigation revealed she traveled out-of-state two weeks before her symptoms began. Her movement history is being closely evaluated.

Additional case-specific information about the individual is confidential and will not be released.

The first confirmed case of coronavirus in Idaho was confirmed on Friday by Gov. Brad Little and Idaho Public Health officials.
