Boise trucker arrested for hit-and-run in Oregon

A Boise, Idaho semi-truck driver has been arrested by the Oregon State Police after being involved in a hit-and-run crash.

On January 31st, at 7:43 p.m., Oregon State Police responded to a hit-and-run crash on U.S. Hwy 97 near milepost 172.

The crash occurred at the scene of a different crash where tow trucks were removing vehicles.

The driver, identified as Stewart A. Maze, fled the scene after hitting a semi-tractor/trailer which hit a tow truck and caused the tow truck driver to sustain a leg injury.

OSP found Maze about eight miles from the crash and arrested him for DUII, reckless driving, reckless endangering, criminal mischief, assault IV and failure to perform the duties of a driver. Maze was booked at the Deschutes County Jail.
