BOISE, Idaho — What is said to be Boise's second affordable housing development has officially opened. The homes are a little unusual as they are made from shipping containers. The development is called Windy Court and it is a community of eight new apartments for low-income families.

"These opportunities come available to us when a willing landowner steps up and says, I love what you're doing, I care about it, and I want to see more of it," said Bart Cochran, LEAP Housing Solutions.

The community is located on West Shields Avenue in Boise. This is the first of several affordable housing projects set to be completed over the next few months by LEAP Housing Solutions, a community housing development group. The company is hoping to announce a home buyer program for more low-income families withion the next month.
