"I've been riding at Bogus for 25 years and just to see how much the mountain has changed in all those years is just amazing," said snowboarder Jason Yancey.

Bogus Basin officially opened on Thursday two days early thanks to last weeks snow storm and their brand new snowmaking machines.

"One guarantee for it to snow is that you put in snowmaking," said Bogus Basin general manager Brad Wilson. "As soon as we got the system fired up it started snowing and we picked up 28 inches over that last week and the skiing is fantastic."

Bogus Basin was busy on opening day and the mountain will open in its entirety on Saturday.

Jason Yancey appreciates how Bogus Basin puts so much effort into improving Bogus Basin and says he's ready for another season on the mountain.

"I'm jacked I mean you can't get this anywhere else for the price as close as it is to Boise," said Yancey. "it is an amazing time and it's a lot of fun for families."
