BOISE, Idaho — St. Luke’s Health System made an announcement Friday they would be changing several policies in order to provide safe care, environment and continual readiness. Staring March 23, the organization is suspending all non-urgent and non-emergent operative and invasive procedures.
By temporarily ending the procedures, exposure risk to patients, staff and providers will be limited and will also help conserve needed supplies.
Also effective March 23 are non-essential clinic visits. Some visits may be changed to non-traditional visits, such as telephone, video or e-visits where available and appropriate. Other appointments will be rescheduled.
St. Luke’s is implementing new visitor procedures starting March 20. A no-visitor policy, with specific and limited exceptions, is meant to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff and providers.
