People who live in rural areas often have problems getting access to the public health services they need, whether it's getting to a doctor's visit or even to a pharmacy.

St. Luke's in Nampa donated a 25-passenger shutter bus to the Southwest District Health Department in order to help with the issue.

"We know that transportation to care and access to care is a barrier in a lot of our communities, so we are looking forward to using this resource to help deliver care and services in those areas," said Nikki Zogg, director of Southwest District Health.

The district serves six counties in Idaho, where many live quite a ways from their health services.
