MERIDIAN, Idaho — Update: St. Luke's Health System says a lockdown at their Meridian location has been lifted. In a press release, the health system said St. Luke's Meridian received a threat and out of an abundance of caution the lockdown was initiated.

They have now resumed normal operations.

Original Story: St. Luke's Meridian is under an on-going lockdown.

Idaho News 6 reached out to the hospital, and Meridian Police for more information.

A St. Luke's receptionist confirmed the lockdown and told Idaho News 6 that the lockdown was cleared just before 5 p.m. However, Meridian Police say multiple units are still on scene and they are treating the lockdown as on-going.

At this time, it is unclear what caused the lockdown.
