The Idaho State Board of Education announced its plans to bring fans to the stands for indoor college athletics.

The plan from the board in consultation with the governor's office allows attendance at indoor athletic events for the remainder of the 2020-2021 winter sports year. The universities can all up to 40% capacity, or around four spectators per student athletes, whichever is larger, according to the state board. Physical distancing or masks are required.

Student fans will count against the 40% capacity, but coaches, athletes, band members, cheerleaders and dance teams are not included, according to the SBOE.

The collegiate plan is similar to plans for high school sports spectators.
