BOISE, Idaho — A group of organizations that work to help domestic violence services in Idaho received a generous gift today.
The Piece of Hope campaign donated more than $148,000. Stinker Store customers had the option of donating funds and heard about the organizations in the community that benefit people impacted by domestic violence or sexual abuse. Heidi Cook, a Communications Director for one of the organizations, says it makes all the difference.
"That's what its going to take in order to end abuse is having an entire community rally around and say 'Hey, we want to do our part. We support this.' I think that without these services, without this support, we just simply wouldn't be able to do what we do," Cook said.
The money will be used to fund services and programs throughout the state.
