BOISE, Idaho — Stinker Stores across Idaho are gearing up for the holiday season by giving to others.

Starting Friday, the company launches another year of "Stomp Out Hunger."

Since 2010, the campaign has provided more than 1.4 million meals across Idaho.

Customers will have the chance to donate a dollar at the register to help the Idaho Foodbank.

The Foodbank hopes to provides millions of meals during Nov. and Dec.

According to Charley Jones, the president of Stinker Stores, the donations come at a pivotal time.

“The humbling part of it is frankly the people in more modest areas, they’re closer to this challenge," Jones said. "They have friends and neighbors and family, possibly that they know what food insecurity is. So we’re blessed and we’re really pleased to have Idaho Foodbank as a partner."

Stinker Stores will match up to $25,000 of customer donations. Last year, the company raised $95,000 across its 66 stores.

Each dollar donated provides at least four meals to hungry Idahoans.

The "Stomp Out Hunger" campaign runs through November 25.
