BOISE, Idaho — National Public Radio is interviewing Idahoans this month to prove that history is not just in books, libraries and archives. History is also in the spoken words of ordinary people.
A special team called StoryCorps travels the country typically in an Airstream Trailer to record those personal stories. The Mobile Tour will be in Boise for in-person recordings again, but anyone interested in participating can do so in-person or virtually. In-person recordings will be done at Boise State Public Radio studios and participants must wear masks and maintain social distancing. Virtual recordings can be done anywhere as long as participants have internet connection and a recording device.
Reservations for spots August 21 to September 2 will open August 5. Reservations can be made for August 4-20 now.
All of the interviews will be archived at the Library of Congress.
More information and how to sign up is available on the StoryCorps website.
