The Idaho Botanical Garden has partnered with Storyfort, to launch a safely distanced, summer reading series.

Bloom: A Summer Reading Series, will take place through August. This story series reflects an array of themes from fiction writers, poets, creative nonfiction writers, and a writer who is penning a "folk rock opera" at the Idaho Botanical Garden. Events are held on Tuesday evenings and Saturday afternoons.

The series is taking place at the Meditation Garden and the expansive green area that surrounds it. Guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blanket for seating. Picnic baskets are welcome or guests can purchase food and beverages from the on-site vendors.

Attendance is capped at 100, which allows artists and guest to be properly socially distanced. Face masks are not required but are encouraged. All PA and event equipment will be sanitized regularly.

Tuesday evening events are $10 for the public or $7 for IBG members

Saturday events are the cost of IBG admission:

  • Members: Free
  • Adults: $8
  • Seniors (65+): $6
  • Youth 4-12: $5
  • Kids 3 & under: Free
